Mullock & Sons – Gamesa 21 Wind Turbines, destined for Carrane Hill, Co. Sligo (July 2006)
KSS and Rockall Renewables, together with
subcontractors, were involved in bringing ashore wind turbines in Killybegs Harbour for storage and onward transportation to Carrane Hill, Co. Sligo. Specialist heavy cranage was used along with tandem lifts using two 120 tonne cranes. Storage and warehousing were provided along with specialist heavy haulage which involved escort vehicles. Project consisted of:4 x 28 metre blades
4 x 24 tonne nacelles
8 towers
4 hubs
Henry Abram & Sons – Overseeing importation of 10 Wellhead Protection Frames (6 in May 2006 and 4 in August 2005)KSS worked with Rockall Marine and Rockall Logistics in conjunction with Henry Abram’s and Shell's representatives. Project involved close liaison with Port Authority due to weight limitations on laydown. Provided stevedoring and cranage companies, transportation and Customs documentation.
Tait's Fishing Company - Trawler handling (March 2006)

KSS acted as trawler handling agents for Tait's fishing fleet. The project involved overall trawler handling, including road transportation, stevedoring, cranage, discharge and Customs documentation.
Russian Transhipment Operations (February-March 2006)

KSS acted as ships agent for five Russian vessels calling at Killybegs Port on seven occasions during the blue whiting season. The transhipment operations generated over €80,000 in business from local service providers. This is new business was attracted by KSS to Killybegs from international competitors. KSS aims to increase the volume of this business going forward, with the ultimate aim of establishing Killybegs as one of their major tran-shipping ports on the west coast.
Gamesa Eolica, Spain (a) (August 2005)
KSS and Rockall Renewables (together with
subcontractors) were responsible for bringing ashore in Killybegs Harbour for storage and onward transportation to Moneenatieve, Co. Roscommon of 14 wind turbines. Project consisted of:42 x 34 metre blades
14 x 50 tonne nacelles
42 towers in 3 sections
14 frequency converters
14 hubs
Gamesa Eolica, Spain (b) (August 2005)
KSS and Rockall Renewables (together with subcontractors) were responsible for bringing ashore in Killybegs Harbour for storage and onward transportation to Geevagh, Co. Roscommon of 6 wind turbines. Project consisted of:
18 x 34 metre blades
6 x 50 tonne nacelles
18 towers in 3 sections
6 frequency converters
6 hubs

Dublin Maritime - Cruise vessel MV Black Prince (July 2005)
KSS was appointed as sub-agent for call of Cruise vessel MV Black Prince, with 425 passengers and 140 crew on board. KSS organised local facilities including craft fair, art exhibition and performance by local band as well as the usual Customs and Port formalities.

Allseas Engineering B.V. - Offshore project equipment (June 2005)
Project involved receiving ashore offshore project equipment from MV Arion for Corrib Field development. This involved working closely with Rockall Marine, Rockall Logistics, Allseas and Shell. Project involved close liaison with Port Authorities and vessel owner. Services included: stevedoring, transportation, cranage, laydown, storage and Customs documentation.

BBC/Tynagh Energy PLC - Steam boiler components (March 2005)
KSS and Rockall Marine were involved in overseeing importation (4 shipments) of 22 pre-fabricated steam boiler components from Korea for onward transportation. Project included secure laydown and storage, liaison with Port Authorities and vessel owner, transport and Customs documentation.
